About BellPrep
Who writes it, how it is made, and what it will never do.
What this is
BellPrep is a daily premarket briefing. It goes out every trading day at 9:20am ET, about ten minutes before the US open, and it takes under five minutes to read. It covers the state of the tape, what is in play and why it is moving, and whether those names are realistically tradeable with a small account.
It is written for people who are past the beginning and not yet consistent — the stage where you have taken real losses, have a broker account, and still open twelve tabs every morning without arriving at a decision.
Who writes it
BellPrep is written and researched by BellPrep Editorial and published by Novelty Capital EOOD.
Bio to be completed before launch — see the editorial standards note below for what it needs to cover: relevant experience, how long trading, what is traded, and what is deliberately not claimed.
How an issue is produced
The factual layer is assembled from primary sources, not aggregated headlines:
- SEC EDGAR — filings, 8-K item codes, registration statements and prospectus supplements. This is what lets us say whether there is an actual filing behind a headline, or whether a stock gapped on a press release with nothing underneath it.
- FRED, the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the US Treasury — index levels, volatility, yields, commodities, and the economic calendar.
- Prior-session price and volume data for levels and context.
All of those are public records. Where a claim rests on a filing, the issue cites the accession number so you can read it yourself.
Drafting is assisted by software; the judgement is not. The tradability verdict — whether a name is worth your attention, and the days we tell you there is nothing — is an editorial position taken by a named person who is accountable for it.
What BellPrep will never do
- Publish a win rate, a return figure, or a profit number. Any such number is unverifiable from outside and it is the claim that gets trading products into trouble. The full log is published instead, unedited.
- Take payment to feature a security. Not ever, in any form, disclosed or otherwise.
- Give you personal advice. Every subscriber receives an identical issue. We do not know your circumstances, do not ask for them, and will not answer "what should I buy" — in email, in a reply, or anywhere else.
- Store what you type into the calculators. They run entirely in your browser. There is no server call.
- Trade around what we publish. Any position held in a named security is disclosed in the issue itself.
Corrections
We will get things wrong. When we do, the correction goes in the next issue in the same place, in plain language, saying what was wrong and what is right — not quietly edited into the archive after the fact. The archive shows what was actually sent.
If you spot an error, write to hello@bellprep.com. Corrections take priority over everything else in the inbox. The full policy is on the disclosures page.
The track record
Every call is logged with a timestamp and resolved against the following session, worked or failed, and published at the same address without editing. Nothing is removed after the fact. That is the whole point of it — a record you can check is worth more than a percentage you cannot.
