What moved overnight, and whether it's worth your account.
BellPrep is a daily briefing for people trading small accounts around a job. It lands ten minutes before the US open: the tape in six numbers, the one name actually in play and why, and a straight answer on whether today is worth trading. Most days it isn't, and we say so.
- Free, no card
- One email a day, market days only
- Unsubscribe in one click
Four minutes, four sections, same order every day
You should be able to read it standing up, before the bell, and know whether to open your broker at all.
- The tape in six numbers S&P, Nasdaq, VIX, the 10-year, oil, dollar — what they're doing and what it means for the first hour.
- The one name in play What moved, why it moved, and whether the volume is real. Sourced to the filing, not the headline.
- The skip-it call Whether anything today is worth trading on a small account. Stated plainly, not buried.
- Yesterday, resolved What happened to the previous call — worked or failed, published either way and never edited after.
This is the layout, not a real issue. The first one publishes at launch, and every issue after it lands in the archive.
Built for accounts under $10k
If you're trading a few thousand dollars around a job, most market coverage isn't written for you. It names stocks that need $20,000 to trade properly and never mentions size at all. BellPrep starts from the account and works backwards.
It's not for you if you want to be told what to buy. We don't do that, and the people who do are usually selling something else.
Most days, the answer is nothing.
Eleven stocks gapped this morning. Nine of them can't be traded properly with a small account, because the volume isn't there and you'd pay for the exit. A source that finds something exciting every single day is not filtering. It's filling space.
We'd rather send you a short email that says today isn't the day.
Every call, including the bad ones
Each call gets logged with a timestamp and resolved the next day, worked or failed, and published unedited at the same address. Nothing is deleted after the fact.
BellPrep hasn't published its first issue yet, so there is nothing here to show — and we would rather show you an empty page than a sample one. Every call will appear here from the first issue onward, resolved and unedited.
We don't publish a win rate. Any number like that is unverifiable from the outside and it's exactly the claim that gets trading products in trouble. The full log is more useful than a percentage anyway, because you can read the losers and see how they went wrong.
The sizing question, answered here and now
No email required for any of this. It's the same arithmetic the briefing uses every morning when it decides whether a name is tradable on your account — try it on a setup you're actually looking at.
Total, not what you're trading with today.
1% is the common starting point. 2% is aggressive on a small account.
Where you get out if you're wrong.
Everything above runs in your browser. Nothing you typed was sent anywhere, and there's nothing for us to store.
